Israel finally licensed a new bank. ONE ZERO Digital Bank Ltd received a full Bank of Israel licence in January 2022 — first in decades. Pepper is not that story: it is Bank Leumi’s digital current account, Israel residents only, age 16. Directories that list Pepper as a charter are wrong. Non-resident tourists are not the customer.
