Rakuten Bank is the scale name: 18.07 million accounts and ¥12.9 trillion in deposits at 31 March 2026. Directories that skip Japan because the apps are in Japanese are leaving the largest licensed internet-bank cohort in Asia off NeoBankDB. FSA licensed bank — deposit can sit in DIC. Wallet / prepaid — Kyash, JAL Global Wallet — not DIC as a bank deposit. Rakuten Securities is a broker. Money Bridge is a link, not a second bank. Wise and Revolut may appear in search.
