Questions people actually type

Can I open a US bank account from India without flying?+

A chartered US bank almost never. Wise (and some fintechs) can issue USD account details to people who pass KYC. For a company, form a US LLC first, then try Wise Business, Relay, or Mercury — Mercury got pickier on US address in 2025–26.

Is Wise a bank?+

No. It is an EMI / payments firm. Local account details sit at partner banks. Safeguarding is not FSCS or FDIC on the Wise entity.

What does ‘remote’ mean here?+

You can often complete KYC on a video call without living in the product’s home country. It is not a guarantee of approval.

Why is Revolut missing for my country?+

Residency-gated. If we do not list it, they are not taking that residency on the consumer file we track — or the product is business-only.

NeoBankDB does not open accounts, form companies, or give legal advice. Approval is the provider’s.
