Five questions

At a glance

  • Is it a bank?

No. Not a deposit-taking bank. Holder / issuer: EMI float / Mastercard issuing — not a Pakistani bank deposit.

  • If it fails?

Footer: registered as Sadapay Private Limited with SECP (No. 0136598), regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan, wholly-owned subsidiary of SadaPay Technologies Ltd (DIFC commercial fintech licence #3263). Mastercard debit cards issued under a Mastercard Asia/Pacific licence. This is an EMI wallet, not a DPC bank deposit. NayaPay is the peer EMI. Keep salary at a scheduled bank.

  • Salary?

An EMI IBAN is not automatically a Pakistani salary account. Many employers will not pay it.

  • Open from abroad?

From Pakistan: phone number. From abroad: NICOP or international number — their homepage. Still an EMI, not a bank.

  • Monthly fee

Free transfers pitch — schedule of charges is live

  • Account number

IBAN is part of the pitch — issuing country not stored.

Sadapay Private Limited, SECP 0136598, regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan, wholly owned by SadaPay Technologies Ltd (DIFC licence #3263). Head office: 1st Floor, Ufone Tower, Jinnah Avenue, Sector F-7/1, Blue Area, Islamabad. UAE office in DIFC Gate Avenue; UK office 86-90 Paul Street, London. Mastercard debit via Mastercard Asia/Pacific. Homepage: 3 million users, free transfers, CNIC + selfie in two minutes, NICOP path from abroad. All of that can be true and it is still not a bank. DPC covers member banks. NayaPay is the other EMI. Use SadaPay as a spend and remittance wallet. Keep PKR salary at HBL, Meezan or another scheduled bank if you need deposit protection.

What it is

The polished Pakistani EMI. Directories call it a neobank because the card is pretty. The SECP number is an EMI company. NeoBankDB writes EMI.

Best for: Pakistanis (and NICOP holders they actually onboard) who want an EMI Mastercard and will keep DPC at a bank.
