PPI (prepaid payment instrument)

Indian stored-value instrument. A wallet or prepaid card, not a bank deposit.

RBI PPI rules cover many Indian cards and wallets. They are not scheduled-bank deposits and do not inherit DICGC the way a savings account does. FamApp-class kids products often live here.
