Our take
Mercury Personal launched December 2025. Mercury Technologies is not a bank. Checking and savings sit at Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC, with a sweep pitch up to $5m if eligibility holds. The SKU is $240 a year, waived while you remain on an eligible Mercury business account. This is a founder product, not a mass-market current account. Ally, SoFi and Varo remain the US salary banks. The business Mercury file is the other slug — do not merge them.
Same company as Mercury Business, different SKU. Directories will file one Mercury. This desk files two. Personal is the December 2025 add-on. Partners are the safety section, same as the company account.
