Five questions
Is it a bank?
No. ether.fi Cash is not a bank. The money sits with an issuer ether.fi does not name on its help pages.
If it fails?
Self-custody, on ether.fi’s 13 August 2026 blog. No FDIC insurance is offered. No deposit scheme is named. The card spends against a vault, not a bank balance.
Salary?
No. There is no account number and no salary rail. Do not send a paycheck here.
Open from abroad?
Availability is jurisdictional, per the App Store footnote. A listing is not proof you can open the card.
Monthly fee
No monthly account fee is on the help-centre fee table. Physical and virtual cards are free only up to the tier allowance.
Account number
None. No IBAN. The card is USD. Native euro is described as soon, not as an account.

A non-custodial Visa card, not a bank account. Spend from a vault you control. The issuer is still unnamed, and FX is not zero. Read the help centre, not the App Store perk line.
Ether.Fi SEZC is the seller of “ether.fi: Crypto Card & Spend” on the US App Store, id 6670338367. Checked 3 October 2026: version 1.4.10, released that day, rated 4.9 from 360 ratings. SEZC means a Cayman Islands Special Economic Zone company. No registration number is printed here because the store page does not give one, and this file will not invent a city street. ether.fi’s blog on 13 August 2026 says ether.fi is not a bank, does not accept deposits, does not offer FDIC insurance, and that assets are self-custodied. The help-centre fee article, “What are the transaction limits and fees for personal Cash credit cards,” updated over two weeks before 3 October 2026, is the fee source. Core is every Cash member. Luxe unlocks at 5,000 loyalty points. Pinnacle unlocks at 25,000. VIP is invitation only. FX is a base rate of about 1% plus a tier margin: Core 0–0.5%, Luxe 0–0.25%, Pinnacle none, VIP none. The card is USD now. Native euro is described as soon. The benefits article, updated over a week before the same date, lists cashback at 3% for Core, Luxe, and Pinnacle, with VIP starred. Free physical cards are 0, 1, 2, and 2, with free shipping from Luxe up. After that allowance, a physical card is 50 dollars on Core and 100 on Luxe and Pinnacle, and 0 on VIP. Virtual cards after the free allowance are 10 dollars, except VIP at 0. Some regions charge 10 dollars for the first Core virtual card. The App Store description still says “No transaction fees” and “Up to 3% cashback.” Where those lines disagree, the help centre wins. The issuer is not named on those help pages. This file does not repeat an issuer name from a review site. Referral text on the benefits table says 1% cashback on referral purchases, marked “Now Affiliate.” That is ether.fi’s rate, not a promise that the link on this file still pays it. Support email published on the help centre is support@ether.fi.
Best for: Someone who will self-custody a vault and will read the help-centre FX table before spending.

Who holds the money
Licence first
Self-custody, on ether.fi’s 13 August 2026 blog. No FDIC insurance is offered. No deposit scheme is named. The card spends against a vault, not a bank balance.
Who holds the money: an issuer ether.fi does not name on its help pages
Before you tap Sign up
Step 1
The help centre charges an FX base rate of about 1% plus a small tier margin. The App Store says no transaction fees. Those are not the same sentence. Use the help centre.
Step 2
The Cash app requires verification before the card. Country limits sit with ether.fi. This file does not have a market list, so the chips are empty on purpose.
Step 3
It uses /go/etherfi and opens https://www.ether.fi/@affinco. The benefits table describes 1% cashback on referral purchases. This file does not promise that rate still applies to this link.

Straight answers
No. ether.fi’s own blog on 13 August 2026 says it is not a bank, does not accept deposits, and does not offer FDIC insurance. Assets are self-custodied by the user.
The help pages checked on 3 October 2026 do not name the issuer. A review site is not a source for that name. Do not treat this file as naming a bank.
The help centre says a prevailing base rate of about 1%, then an added margin of 0 to 0.5% on Core and 0 to 0.25% on Luxe. Pinnacle and VIP add none. Refunds use the rate when the refund settles.
The benefits table lists 3% on Core, Luxe, and Pinnacle. VIP is a star, not a number. The App Store says up to 3%. Tiers still change the card stock and the free-card count.
NeoBankDB’s hop at /go/etherfi opens https://www.ether.fi/@affinco. The website on this file stays https://www.ether.fi. The 1% referral line is ether.fi’s help-centre text, not a guaranteed payout.
No published user reviews yet. The NeoBankDB score still comes from licence, fees, and the product — not from an empty star average.
